Do I need to pay anything upfront?
No. Most of our financing partners require $0 down and will approve you in under 24 hours. The one exception is insurance-paid replacements, where your deductible is due once the claim is approved.
What credit score do I need?
It depends on the product. Our partner lenders can approve prime credit (680+) in minutes. For scores 580 – 679 we route you to PACE or FHA 203(k), which qualify on home equity and property history rather than credit alone. Credit scores below 580 still have options. We will walk you through what is realistic.
How long does financing take from application to install?
Partner lending: 24 – 48 hours to approval and funds released on install completion. PACE: 2 – 4 weeks because it requires a county lien recording. HELOC or 203(k): 3 – 6 weeks for underwriting. We start the roof only after funds are confirmed.
Can I combine insurance with financing?
Yes, and it is the most common path for storm-damage replacements. Your insurance covers the approved scope and we finance the deductible plus any out-of-scope upgrades (like an upgraded underlayment or impact-rated shingles). We document the damage with photos and an itemized estimate you provide to your carrier, and we are glad to meet your adjuster on-site. You file and manage the claim with your insurer.
What happens if I sell the home before the loan is paid off?
Partner loans and HELOCs are paid off at closing from sale proceeds, the same as a mortgage. PACE is different. It stays with the property, and the new buyer assumes the remaining assessment. Many buyers see this as a positive because the roof is already upgraded.
Do you handle all the paperwork?
Yes. We coordinate directly with the lender, submit the job scope and cost, and the funds are released to us once the work is completed and inspected. You sign digitally; there is no stack of forms to chase.
